Anthologia Metallica: A metallic glaze gives lends the burnished, slightly variegated look of real aluminum, nickel, and bronze. Yet these ceramic mosaics are infinitely sturdier than real metal, thanks to a single-press-firing manufacturing process and a scratch-proof double glaze that make the material ideal for the walls and floors of wet spaces and even building facades, where the reflective sheen injects a delightful luminosity and richness. Mounted on 12-inch fiberglass-net sheets with 1.5 mm grout joints, the mosaics come in inch-square or 1-by-2-inch tesserae.
