Project Spotlight: The Versatility of Pennyrounds

A gorgeous spec home by GreenRose Fine Homes on 6 Glenmere Dr, Chatham Township, NJ.

This stunning new construction thoughtfully designed by GreenRose Fine Homes, an award-winning full service real estate Design-Build firm including Interior Design and coordinated General Contracting, can be best described as a modern farmhouse. To complete their vision, partners Steve Moran and Ken Malian turned to Nemo Tile + Stone for all of their tile needs.

For the first bathroom  Nemo Tile’s Casablanca in Square Mist was chosen for the tub surround. The soft mint tones mirror the style of handmade tiles with high shade chromatic variation for a unique final installation. The added value of traditionally crafted products lies in the fact that no two pieces are alike, which is what Casablanca embodies with its distressed, handcrafted, high color variation look available in 8 different colorways.

Pulling the mint tones from the wall tile, the bathroom floor features Nemo’s Glazed Pennyround Mosaic in Jadite. The classic pennyround tile creates a lot of interest in this space and continues the green theme. The color Jadite has a reactive glaze that pools the soft green color to the center and creates an exposed ceramic edge. Suitable for both walls and floors, our collection of glazed penny rounds includes a large selection of bright and neutral colors making this timeless design versatile enough to complement any room.

No pet lover’s home is complete without a pet wash station! For this custom addition Nemo Tile’s Life in Nordic was chosen. A great porcelain alternative, Life adds beauty and elegance without the hassle of care and maintenance of natural wood.

The wash tub floor also features Nemo’s Glazed Pennyround Mosaic in Jadite. A truly versatile tile, the pop of  color adds a bit of whimsy to this space. The small pennyrounds also create a slip resistance for pet paws!

For the finishing touches, a polished nickel Schluter trim and Ucore fixtures  wrap up this space. Stay tuned for next week’s Project Spotlight where we will take a closer look at other spaces in this beautiful home!

Project Spotlight: Two Textured Bathrooms

A gorgeous spec home by GreenRose Fine Homes on 6 Glenmere Dr, Chatham Township, NJ.

This stunning new construction thoughtfully designed by GreenRose Fine Homes, an award-winning full service real estate Design-Build firm including Interior Design and coordinated General Contracting, can be best described as a modern farmhouse. To complete their vision, partners Steve Moran and Ken Malian turned to Nemo Tile + Stone for all of their tile needs.

For the first bathroom Nemo Tile’s Build Effect in Ivory was chosen for the shower enclosure. This unique porcelain tile has an alternating concave and convex linear texture that creates the illusion of subtle movement. The glazing also features a variance of ivory shades to add depth and expands design pairing possibilities.

Pulling grey tones from the wall tile, the showerpan features Nemo Tile’s Glazed Hexagon in Dove. Hexagon tile provides a vintage look that’s new again, making it a great choice for both old and new home designs. It’s a unique shape yet the variations are endless. Our collection of glazed hexagons includes a large selection of 16 bright and neutral colors with a glossy finish.

For the bathroom floor Nemo Tile’s Torrone in Absolute was chosen. Torrone is a fine-glazed porcelain tile crafted to resemble traditional terrazzo flooring. The use of high definition printing and detailed craftsmanship recreates the look of terrazzo, down to the slight shimmer of the marble chips when hit with light without the high cost. This line is available in four colorways and durable, large format square and hexagon tiles.

The second bathroom features a pop of color with Nemo Tile’s Casablanca in Square River. The watercolor tones mirror the style of handmade tiles with high shade chromatic variation for a unique final installation. The added value of traditionally crafted products lies in the fact that no two pieces are alike, which is what Casablanca embodies with its distressed, handcrafted, high color variation look available in 8 different colorways.

The shower floor and showerpan feature Nemo Tile’s Verve in Cement Sand. Choosing both the large format and mosaic tile, Verve brings the aesthetic of cement into the space by perfectly mimicking the textured look of poured concrete in a durable porcelain format.  The soft color palette perfectly balances the colorful, rich blue wall tiles.

For the finishing touches, a polished nickel Schluter trim, Ucore fixtures, and an AGB & Johnson Hardware pocket door wrap up this elegant space. Stay tuned for next week’s Project Spotlight where we will take a closer look at other spaces in this beautiful home!

Project Spotlight: Beveled Bathroom

Working closely with Nemo Tile Hicksville’s showroom manager, Esperanza Huggins, this Long Island homeowner remodeled his childhood home to reflect his changing family. For this bathroom, traditional elements with modern twists create a stunning space.

For the bathroom walls and shower surround Nemo Tile’s Metro Bevel White Subway tile was chosen. The standard subway layout gives the space a classic, clean look while the beveled cut gives it that modern twist. To give it that finishing touch, the Metro Bevel bullnose completes this look. The grey grout and angles play beautifully with the overhead lighting making this space sparkle.

The bathroom floor and shower pan feature our Carrara Bardiglio Basketweave Stone Mosaic. The repeating pattern creates great movement within the space and the natural stone variation adds interest. The classic pairing of subway tile and stone basketweave is elegant and refined.

Blue cabinetry with a carrara top adds a pop of color complimented by classic white Kohler sink and toilet.

For their downstairs bathroom, Nemo Tile’s Gramercy Hex in Decor Mix Bianco was chosen to create a focal point behind the sink. Gramercy is a collection inspired by the history of the Manhattan neighbourhood. Though made of porcelain, Gramercy’s color palette gives the collection the washed, faded look of a cement tile. The Decor mix features a mixture of floral, geometric, and filigree prints that add interest to any space.
