Sota parquets are handcrafted from exotic woods sourced across the globe, from Europe and Asia to Africa. Parquet exhibits the graining and pockmarking characteristic of solid wood but comes in an easy-to-install tongue-and-groove format that clicks together for a tight fit, suiting it to diverse applications. Wenge, teak, and oak are among the varieties offered, available in a tanned or rough-hewn brushed finish, or treated to durable varnish that renders the surface impervious and resistant to fading. Parquet can be nailed or glued down to various substrates and is typically laid over a moisture or soundproofing barrier. Care for as you would solid wood: sweep or vacuum frequently, mop up spills quickly, and use wood soap and waxing as needed.
