After moving into their new home, originally built in 1968, the homeowners decided it was time for a renovation. Working with architect Peter Goodhue, they wanted to create a California ranch feel with an open floor plan, big windows, and clean lines. The first of 4 bathroom remodels, the master bath incorporated these design elements that flow throughout their modern yet cozy home.
Nemo’s Marvel Bianco Dolomite in matte 12×24 covers the bathroom walls and floor in a classic running bond pattern. Marvel, a porcelain tile, has the incredible look of real marble and the resilience and hard-wearing nature of porcelain, making it the perfect alternative to marble. The larger format tiles also create a clean, serene and elegant look to the space.
To create a beautiful focal point and add movement to the shower space, a custom Marble Bianco Dolomite polished herringbone design was created on back wall and brought down to the shower pan. As an extra special touch, the herringbone pattern is seamlessly continued in the shower niche! The natural stone herringbone pattern creates a sense of movement in the space and adds a touch of interest that doesn’t overwhelm.
