Project Spotlight: Two Inspired Bathrooms

Inspired by their honeymoon trip to the Puglia region in Italy, the Rubinsteins set out to Nemo Tile’s Red Bank showroom to create a serene master bathroom that incorporated all their favorite Italian design elements with a modern twist!

Drawing inspiration from the architecture, colors, and patterns their first selection was Nemo Tile’s Build Effect in Ivory. This unique porcelain tile has a alternating concave and convex linear texture that creates the illusion of subtle movement. The glazing also features a variance of ivory shades to add depth and expands design pairing possibilities. The natural light from the skylight in the enclosed shower plays beautifully on the texture of this tile.

To create the serene shower space Nemo Tile’s Pebble Beige Marble was chosen for the floor. Mimicking natural stones, it brings the perfect amount of nature for a truly serene spa feel.

To complete the space Nemo Tile’s Alta 12×24 in White was chosen for the floor and the vanity wall. Installed on the floor in a herringbone pattern pulls the movement from the textured Build Effect tile throughout the space.

We are thrilled we could help bring another design dream to fruition at Nemo Tile. Here’s to many years enjoying this harmonious, serene space!

Guest Bathroom

The inspiration for their guest bath was none other than the Beverly Hills Hotel! The homeowners loved the idea of using the same wallpaper from such an iconic hotel and needed the perfect flooring to make it pop. When they saw Nemo Tile’s Gramercy Hex in Bianco D/EXA in our Red Bank, NJ showroom they knew it was the perfect fit!

Project Spotlight: A Master Bath Refresh

Upon return from a winter getaway in March 2017, the homeowners of this Red Bank home found a damaging leak in their master bathroom that needed immediate attention. Although they had already renovated the master bath seven years prior, with the leak needing to be repaired immediately, the couple also used it as an excuse to make some additional updates to refresh the space.

The homeowners tried to replace the expensive glass tile they had in the shower but were unable to find it from their previous tile provider, as it had been discontinued. That’s when they decided to visit NEMO’s Red Bank showroom. “We try to use everything local,” says the homeowner, when it comes to sourcing vendors and being Red Bank residents, they found NEMO just by driving by.

Upon visiting the showroom, the homeowners met with design consultant, Denise who was able to assist them with where to start. They chose 12×24 porcelain from NEMO’s Alta Porcelain Collection in Matte White for the master bathroom shower, which perfectly complimented and matched the pre-existing tile that they were able to salvage.

“I would’ve liked to have redone the whole bathroom, but it was just done seven years ago. So, with the help of Denise, she guided us toward which tiles to fix without having to redo the entire bathroom. I was picking out all the wrong materials at first, but she steered us toward which tile to choose based on the look and materials we already had.”

Project Spotlight: A Serene & Sophisticated Master Bath

For the master bath of this Allenhurst home, the homeowners wanted a space that was “tranquil, clean and simple.”

While the master bathroom may be the most simple of all the bathrooms in terms of the design, it was actually the most difficult to execute. The homeowners wanted a serene, clean escape, but needed ample storage and wanted to incorporate a slightly more luxurious feel. Alongside the homeowner Daniella, the designers looked through many different tile options, finally settling on Bianco Dolomiti – Direto polished marble. They all loved the bright white background with the slight variation and veining, which gave it more character than a traditional Thassos. The designers opted to use 12 x 24 tiles to create a focus wall behind the vanity, which created the perfect backdrop for the custom-made floating vanity, medicine cabinets, wall mounted faucets and sconces.

The designers loved the Bianco Dolomiti – Direto marble in a horizontal pattern because the tile “becomes almost like a watercolor design with the natural marble veining. The lines of the ocean are reflected in the Dolomiti.”

The designers originally wanted the floor to be cement, but when they saw the Area grey porcelain tile installed at the NEMO Tile Red Bank showroom, they knew it would be perfect. They opted for the larger 48 x 48 tiles to minimize the number of seams, which maintains the focus on the beautiful Bianco Dolomiti – Direto marble.

The shower and toilet are separated into their own spaces on opposite sides of the room while the frosted glass doors ensure privacy.  In the shower area, the Bianco Dolomiti – Direto marble surrounds you on all walls, and they used a smaller 3×3 mosaic made of the same marble for the shower floor.
