Project Spotlight: A Luxurious Laundry Room

A gorgeous spec home by Merrick Construction on 21 Spruce Drive in Fair Haven, NJ. This stunning new construction thoughtfully designed and crafted by Merrick Construction, a top NJ custom home builder, can be best described as a modern meets beach traditional home. To complete his vision, Owner and Founder Timothy Cross turned to NEMO Tile + Stone Red Bank for all of his tile needs.   “I wanted the kitchen, mud/laundry room and the living room to be one big open space,” explains Timothy Cross, Owner and Founder of Merrick Construction. “The mudroom had to be gorgeous as you see it from the living room. I purposefully didn’t have a door separating the space and instead made be an attractive view while yet performing at high-function.” Long 8x48 planks from NEMO’s Tread porcelain tile collection in color “scrape” in an offset pattern were used for the floor. Tread brings the aesthetic of cement into the space by perfectly mimicking the textured look of poured concrete in a durable porcelain format. Available in a large selection of sizes, colors and designs, Tread captures the same industrial essence of cement with its gritty characteristics making it ideal for residential or commercial projects. To create visual interest to the space, 2x10 Ara ceramic tile in color “greggio” was used on the back wall in a herringbone pattern.
