Project Spotlight: Bloomsday Cafe
Opened by Zach Morris and Kelsey Bush, Bloomsday Cafe is an all-day cafe in Society Hill that also offers a natural wine bar and bottle shop! Working with Philly-based architecture firm Ambit Architecture designer Ben Galbreath, the owners completely renovated this space with the help of Nemo Tile.
The 2,800 square-foot space seats over 50, a marble-topped bar that seats eight, a living moss wall and a working fireplace.
For the fireplace surround, Nemo Tile’s Hudson Glazed Brick in Old Bronze was chosen. This dazzling take on a classic material features a gorgeous metallic-bronze glaze with a subtle crackle effect. The natural texture of the brick creates a beautiful, multi-layered reflective sheen.
Paired with the Hudson Glazed Brick is a beautiful mint green and white chevron patterned cement tile. You can find a similar look with our Bisazza Cement tile collection!
“Great coffee, wine and spirits enjoyed alongside uncomplicated food and shared with friends. At Bloomsday Café, we believe in the simplicity of everyday pleasures. Here on the cobblestone shambles of Headhouse Square, Bloomsday Café is a modern meeting place for friends, neighbors, and those just passing through. We’re here morning, noon, and night.
Bloomsday offers an informal, seasonal menu inspired by their Pennsylvania roots and influenced by their favorite experiences. Uncomplicated and unexpected, always fresh and often local, their menu is designed to accompany whatever you’re drinking — morning, noon, and night!
Be sure to stop by and check out the great events and Fancy Wine Club membership.
