Project Spotlight: Captivating Kitchen in Brooklyn
The first room in this gut renovation of a 3-bedroom 1.5 bathroom apartment in Kensington, Brooklyn focused on creating a large inviting kitchen as the center of entertaining to accommodate large family gatherings. Architect and designer Slavica Novak Nikolic of Urban Bond Creative set out to create a bold focal point with energy to spare!
Taking principles from feng shui, Nemo Tile's Viscaya Glass in Fire Brick was chosen as the backsplash for this newly opened kitchen. The strong, bold red creates the perfect energy for cooking and the reflective surface of the glass infuses the space with depth. The larger format of these glass subway tiles creates a sleek focal point for this open space creating great energy for entertaining.
The homeowners couldn’t be happier saying their brand-new bold kitchen is now the favorite part of their home!
