Project Spotlight: Cozy Master Bedroom Meets Coastal Chic Retreat
The homeowners of this charming Red Bank home gradually updated the master bedroom over time, starting with new furniture pieces and worked from there to redesign the rest of the space.
The floor to ceiling fireplace is the focal point of the room and was one of the main updates the homeowners worked on to help transform the look and feel of the space. The fireplace previously only consisted of a simple slate tile face along with a dated color scheme that carried throughout the room.

When it came to redesigning the fireplace, the homeowners opted for a clean white look with a Carrara mosaic tile design from NEMO’s Tempo Rock Collection and a custom built out white mantel surround.
“I’ve always liked Carrera marble and our NEMO design consultant, Denise really helped guide us when choosing the perfect material for the face of the fireplace,” says Dunn.

The fireplace continues up the wall with a clean rustic shiplap design that meets the ceiling (also covered in shiplap), to create a sophisticated beach feel against the pale-blue tinted shade of the “Baby’s Breath” wall color.

A simple and elegant chandelier hangs from the vaulted shiplap-covered ceiling in the center of the spacious room, finished off with a cozy reading nook, a dresser and jewelry chest hand painted by the homeowner, and framed prints on the mantel that add a little pop, picking up all the nautical blue shades throughout the room.
