Opened in Avon-by-the-Sea by Keri DeCorso and Michael Halsey Maeberrie Market is a unique space that’s part American bistro, part market.

Owner Keri DeCorso describes, “When you walk through our front door, you will have the option of shopping our market for pre-prepared housemade fare, pastries, Booskerdoo coffee, fresh-cut flowers, vintage and new housewares and more, or entering our dining room for a full-service breakfast.”

Nemo Tile’s Tread in Pacific perfectly mimics the textured look of poured concrete in a durable porcelain format, perfectly pairing with the natural rustic chic ambiance of the space. The cool, slate grey coloring of the floor tile is important to the overall design and is great for high traffic zones like a busy market.  The large format tiles in a herringbone layout creates great movement and interest.

For their restroom, Nemo’s Glazed Pennyround Mosaic in Dandelion was chosen. The classic pennyround tile creates a lot of interest in this space and continues the rustic chic theme. The color Dandelion has a reactive glaze that pools the soft white color to the center and creates an exposed ceramic edge. The soft color with exposed natural edges pairs perfectly with the rustic accessories and neutral blue wainscot walls in the space.

Their menu, crafted by Salvatore Capobianco, includes decadent dishes like Roasted Cauliflower Soup with sage, fried chickpeas, creme fraiche to Vanilla Bean Pancakes with blueberry sauce and matcha butter.

A must try, Maeberrie is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with occasional dinner parties. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
